In this tutorial we look at creating a simple drum kit and MIDI pattern with Ableton Live 8. We discuss usage of the Drum Rack, Compressor and EQ8 plug-ins, as well as covering simple production techniques such as effectively layering mutiple samples to create a single sound, and how to easily create a different genre or feel by simply moving notes within the MIDI clip.
